About the Program
What is Support at Home?
Support at Home is the Australian Government’s in-home aged care program designed to help older Australians remain independent and living safely at home for longer.
It replaced the Home Care Packages Program and Short-Term Restorative Care Programme on 1 November 2025.
Following an aged care assessment, eligible participants receive funding based on their assessed care needs. Support at Home has eight ongoing classifications, as well as separate pathways for Assistive Technology and Home Modifications, Restorative Care and End-of-Life Care.
